GALVESTON BAY
PARROT HEAD CLUB

Galveston Bay is a Whole Other World

Who Are We?

We are fans of Jimmy Buffett and the trop rock music genre and lifestyle he helped establish. The club received its charter from Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc. (the national organization) in December of 1995. Our club belongs to the South Region of PHIP, which is currently made up of 27 clubs. The lifestyle we live around the lake, bay, and on Galveston Island is perfectly in sync with the philosophies of a true Parrot Head and our activities tend to center around that. Our club works to raise money and collect supplies, along with donating our time and talent in support of local and national causes and charities. Since our birth in 1995, the club has grown to more than 500 members with new members joining each week. We may be the people our parents warned us about as Jimmy said, but we party with a purpose.

Our Upcoming Events

Can you believe our nation is celebrating its 250th birthday?

What an incredible milestone! On July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was adopted, marking the birth of the United States of America and the freedoms we cherish today.

The Fourth of July means something special to each of us. It's a time for fireworks, family gatherings, parades, barbecues, concerts, baseball, and creating memories with the people we love.

July also brings another tradition close to our hearts—Riddles in the Sand, now celebrating its 29th year. This year's event features a new location and exciting new activities, but our mission remains the same: Party with a Purpose by bringing people together and raising funds to support our community.

As you enjoy everything July has to offer, take a moment to reflect on the many blessings we share, appreciate the freedoms we enjoy, and give thanks for family, friends, and this wonderful country we call home.

Happy 4th of July, and Fins Up!
