Who Are We?We are fans of Jimmy Buffett and the trop rock music genre and lifestyle he helped establish. The club received its charter from Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc. (the national organization) in December of 1995. Our club belongs to the South Region of PHIP, which is currently made up of 27 clubs. The lifestyle we live around the lake, bay, and on Galveston Island is perfectly in sync with the philosophies of a true Parrot Head and our activities tend to center around that. Our club works to raise money and collect supplies, along with donating our time and talent in support of local and national causes and charities. Since our birth in 1995, the club has grown to more than 500 members with new members joining each week. Since 2011, our club has donated over $545,000 to charities! | In 2025 alone, we did 2,665 hours of volunteer work for our community. |

| We’re definitely in the Dog Days of Summer now! August arrives under the bold sign of Leo the Lion and closes with the grounded energy of Virgo, one of the earth signs. Named in honor of the Roman Emperor Augustus, this month is known for its long, hot days and serves as a reminder to keep a close eye on the tropics as hurricane season begins to ramp up. August is also a month of making memories. Family vacations are in full swing as many squeeze in one last getaway before the school bells ring again. Stores are bustling with back-to-school shoppers, and classrooms will soon be filled with excited students ready for a new year. As children head back to school, remember that school zones will once again be in effect. Please slow down, stay alert, and put the phone away while driving. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and make the most of these final weeks of summer. Fins Up! Beginning this month we will be collecting school supplies. Please bring donations to any club event. |  |

Proceeds for this year's Bayou Bubba Chili Cook-off and Rum Challenge along with all the helpful supplies collected that were distributed at the Cook-off. Thank you to all that came out and participated, supported and worked the event. It was a Great Day!
